2. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
a) Information You Provide:
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password.
- Social Logins: If you sign up using Google or Apple Sign-In, we receive your name and email address from that service to create your account. We do not receive your password from these services.
- Translation & Learning Data: We collect and store the text you submit for translation. This data is saved to your private account to automatically create flashcards for your personal learning.
b) Information We Collect Automatically (Analytics):
To help us fix bugs and understand how the App is used, we use PostHog for analytics and crash reporting. This service may automatically collect:
- Device Information: Your device type, operating system, and OS version.
- Usage Events: App lifecycle events such as "Application Opened," "Application Backgrounded," and "Application Updated."
- Crash Reports: Information about crashes and performance errors ($exception).
- Network Information: Your IP address, which is used to identify the general location of our users.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To create and secure your account, authenticate you, provide AI-powered translations, and save your private flashcards.
